The Devon Coast to Coast Cycle Route
Cycling Weekend Ilfracombe to Plymouth
102 miles over 2 or 3 days
Take on a scenic cycling weekend from the craggy cliffs of Ilfracombe to the historic port of Plymouth. This beautiful Devon Coast to Coast Cycle Route follows traffic-free paths, quiet backroads, and cycle lanes, winding through Devon's rolling countryside, past historic railway viaducts, through tunnels, and along the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Ideal for a road bike, hybrid or mountain bike, the route offers a mix of leisurely and challenging terrain, with plenty of opportunities to stop and enjoy the stunning views and local villages along the way. A perfect weekend adventure for cyclists of all levels.
When ridden over 2 days the 102 miles is a fabulous weekend challenge, but one that can be achieved with a bit of training and preparation. The three day journey is a great option for newcomers to cycling or families as it allows either a steadier pace of riding or plenty of time to rest, explore on foot and take pictures. Each departure date has both options available.
