Day 1 - Flight transfer from Oslo
Saturday
We’ll collect you from the airport on arrival and drive you to the mountains of Hallingdal. Our accommodation is based in Nesbyen, it is an old solid timber house in the historic centre of the town, we’ll spend the rest of the day getting bikes set up and settled in.
If you’ve still got the energy after the travel and bike building then you can tire yourself out on the local pumptrack.
Day 2 - Nesbyen Intro
Sunday
For the first day we’ll get you acquainted with the mountain sides that you can see from your bedroom window. With a wide selection of primarily uplift based enduro trails surrounding Nesbyen there’s something for all levels.
We’ll get things underway with some of the newly built flow trails to warm you up before moving on to what Nesbyen is known for, high speed and rocky trails.
Day 3 - Mountain Plateaus
Monday
We’ll get above the tree line to start the day, riding some rolling scenic singletrack up on the mountain plateau at 1100m+. Being above the treeline offers fantastic views miles across the Norwegian landscape all the way over to the high peaks of Jotunheimen National Park and the icy glacier of Hallingskarvet.
The afternoon will be filled with several descents of the wooded mountain sides around Gol on some of the valley’s finest hand-built trails.
Day 4 – Ål Flow
Tuesday
Ål sits further up the valley than the other places we ride and the landscape here is even more dramatic. With a solid community of trail builders there is a great network of hand-built trails in the valley mixed with a couple of brand new machine built flow trails.
In between the drama there are a number of trails, more technical and rockier in nature with a ‘big mountain’ feel, Not to mention we’ll take you past the playing fields of the original Fest Series crew, with jumps bigger than you can imagine, take one on if you dare.
Day 5 - ½ day, afternoon self-guide or rest
Wednesday
This day is a half day guided day in which we’ll hit up the highlight of the Nesbyen trail network - ‘Paskestien’, an old logging trail which has been transformed into something of a Norwegian classic MTB trail, a 3.5km high speed descent!
In the afternoon you’ll have the opportunity to take yourself off on a self-guided trip on some of the mapped and signposted trails accessible from the accommodation. Try out one of the other activities in the valley such as stand-up paddle boarding, climbing, swimming, or canyoning. Alternatively, you can just chill out after 3 ½ days packed full of riding before 2 more amazing days!
Day 6 – Logging Past
Thursday
There are many forgotten old logging trails lying dormant in the forest which make for fantastic mountain bike trails these days. We have several trails hidden deep in the woods that we’ll take you on that we’ve developed into quality mountain bike descent.
A selection of high-speed undulating singletracks mixed with as many corners as you can shake a stick at!
Day 7 - High Mountain
Friday
To finish the week off we’ll come full circle back to Nesbyen and take on a mountain top trip on the rolling landscape 1100m above Nesbyen. From here you have some epic views up and down the valley.
We’ll finish the week by taking on a huge 17km flow descent of Hallingspranget back down to the village, a brand-new trail built over the last two years which is a continuous ribbon of surfaced flow trail taking you from 1100m down to 150m.
