Hadrian's Cycleway

151 miles over 3 days

Embark on an unforgettable adventure with our Hadrian’s Cycleway coast-to-coast ride, offering a unique opportunity to experience the stunning landscapes and rich history of northern England. Along the way, you’ll be immersed in the fascinating history of Hadrian’s Wall and its Roman heritage, making this journey as much about discovery as it is about cycling.

Hadrian’s Cycleway offers more than just a challenge; it’s an adventure through time. Starting in Whitehaven, you’ll ride along the beautiful Solway Coast, where you can enjoy picturesque views of the sea before heading inland. After passing through the historic city of Carlisle, you’ll follow Hadrian’s Wall cycle route, passing ancient ruins, forts, and sites that date back to Roman Britain. This ride is a celebration of history.

We ensure a hassle-free experience by taking care of all the logistics. On the first evening, you’ll park your cars and check in to your overnight accommodation in Penrith. The next morning, you’ll be transferred to the start point at Whitehaven, where your cycling journey begins. Throughout the ride, you’ll pass through stunning rural landscapes and charming towns, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in both the natural beauty and historical significance of the area.

Lightweight E-Bikes enhance bike agility and offer a more natural riding feel, providing the keen cyclist who needs a boost with subtle assistance from the mid-motor that doesn't compromise the traditional cycling experience. Unlike full-fat 85Nm 29Kg E-Bikes which are designed for maximum power and acceleration, these lightweights are enjoyable to ride even above motor-assisted speeds (25kph), with three power settings available for the climbs. These lightweight E-Bikes can be ridden on flat terrain with or without power assistance.

All rental bikes include a kit bag with pump, inner tube, multi-tool, bottle cage and lock
